<p>又曰：高帝除秦苛法，為簡易。群臣飲酒爭功，高帝患之。叔孫通知上益厭也，說上，願與諸弟子共起朝儀。漢七年，長樂宮成，群臣皆朝。十月，復置法酒。諸臣侍坐殿上，皆伏，以尊卑次起上壽。觴九行，謁者言罷酒。御史執法，舉不如儀者輒引去。竟朝置酒，無敢失禮者。高帝乃曰：「吾今日知為皇帝之貴也！」</p>

<p>又曰：沛公先入關，屯霸上。項羽至，沛公左司馬曹無傷使人言於羽曰：「沛公欲王關中。」羽大怒，欲擊之。沛公因項伯見羽，羽留沛公飲。項王、項伯東向坐，亞父南向坐——亞父者，范增也；沛公北向坐，張良西向侍。增數目項王，舉所佩玉玦，示之者三。項王默然。項莊入，以劍舞，欲因擊沛公。張良至軍門，見樊噲，曰：「甚急！今項莊拔劍舞，其意常在沛公也。」噲曰：「此迫矣。臣請入，與之同命！」噲即帶劍擁盾入軍門。交戟之衛士欲止不內，噲則其盾以撞，衛士仆地。噲遂披帷西向而立，瞋目視項王。項王按劍而跽，曰：「客何為者？」良曰：「沛公參乘樊噲也。」王曰：「壯士！賜之卮酒。」則與斗卮酒，樊噲飲之。王曰：「賜之彘肩。」則與一生彘肩，噲覆盾於地，拔劍切而啖之。王曰：「壯士！能復飲乎？」曰：「臣死且不避，卮酒安足辭！」</p>

<p>又曰：「曹參代蕭何為相，一遵何約束，日夜飲淳酒。卿大夫及賓客見參不事事，皆欲言。至者，參輒飲醉之，終莫得言。丞相舍後園近吏舍，吏舍日飲歌呼，從吏惡之，無如之何。乃請參游園中，聞吏醉歌呼，從吏請按之。參乃取酒，張坐飲，亦歌呼與相參。</p>

<p>又曰：大將軍袁紹總兵冀州，遣使要鄭玄。大會賓客，玄最後至，乃延升上坐。身長八尺，飲酒一斛，秀眉明目，容儀溫偉。</p>

<p>《魏志》曰：徐晃破關羽，振旅還摩陂。太祖迎晃七里，置酒大會。太祖舉卮酒勸晃，且勞之曰：「全樊、襄陽，將軍之功也！」</p>

<p>又曰：呂布騎將侯成，遣客收馬十五匹。客悉驅馬去，向沛城欲歸劉備。成自將騎逐之，悉得馬還。諸將合禮賀，釀五六斛酒，獵得十餘豬。未飲食，先持半豬、五斗酒自入詣布前，跪言：「蒙將軍恩，逐得所失馬。將來相賀，自釀少酒，獵得豬，末敢飲食，先奉上微意。」</p>

<p>又曰：邴原初辭家求學。原舊性能飲酒，自行之後，八九年間酒不向口。單步負笈，苦身持刀。至陳則師韓子助；潁川則宗陳仲弓；汝南則交范孟博；涿郡則親盧士干。臨別，師友以原不飲酒，會米肉送原。原曰：「敝塑飲酒，但以荒思廢業，故斷之耳。今當遠別，因見貺餞，可以飲宴。」於是安坐飲酒，終日不醉。</p>
